SUMMARY:Lunchtime Lecture with Fly on the Wall Press
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of our Lunchtime Lecture with Persephone Books\, we are over the moon to announce our latest publisher talk\, this time with Manchester-based publishing house Fly on the Wall Press. We will hear what it has been like to be a one-woman publishing house for the last 4 years\, and still achieving a four-time finalist position in the prestigious British Book Awards’ Small Press of the Year category. \nSince their inception in February 2018\, Fly on the Wall Press seamlessly integrates social activism into their literary endeavours. Isabelle Kenyon curates and publishes unparalleled political fiction\, evocative poetry\, and genre-defying anthologies addressing urgent global concerns. Fly on the Wall work with a carefully selected 12 authors each year to ensure that each publicity campaign gets the attention and dedication it deserves. \nThe talk will be on Wednesday 24th January and begin at 1pm for an hour. Tickets are £3\, and are available to buy here. \nWe will also have a number of Fly on the Wall books available to purchase in store on the day\, as well as those that can be found on our shelves throughout the year. \nAs always we have a handful of free tickets for those who would like them. Please email bookworms@houseofbooksandfriends.com to claim these.
