Lessons in Death

£7.99

Life at Mayfield Academy seems normal enough – that is until Georgia discovers the drama teacher, dead, in the school library. Then, when she goes back to look for him, having gone for help, his body has vanished. Georgia knows what she saw, but only her best friend Billy believes her. Determined to find out what has gone on, Georgia and Billy hunt for evidence with new girl, Wren. But with friendship dynamics also at play there’s a lot more at stake than dead bodies. And it’s not long before it becomes clear that someone is prepared to go to any lengths to stop their investigation.

It’s the National Year of Reading, and House of Books and Friends are collaborating with literacy specialist Sarah Bagshaw-McCormick to bring you a reading group with a difference.

Hear a little about how you can encourage your students reading, meet your new favourite book and get great, diverse and up to date recommendations for students of every age.

On Tuesday 14th April we’ll be starting with recommendations around a theme of 'Fantasy'. We will have a selection of titles to discuss, covering picture books to young adult, for all stages of the curriculum. The event will begin at 10.30am, and last one hour.

Tickets are £3, and entitle you to a free drink on arrival.
