We’re excited to welcome Hélène Giannecchini on Tuesday 24th March to talk about her new book 'An Army of Lovers Cannot Fail' 📚

Our bookseller Lily will be in conversation with Hélène about her work, exploring the ideas and stories behind the book.

Lily says: “This is a thoughtful, intimate book about memory, community, and the power of chosen families. A reminder that sometimes the strongest revolutions begin with friendship. I can’t wait to meet Hélène and talk with her about her work.”

Join us for what promises to be a brilliant evening of conversation and insight. Get your ticket via the link in our bio! 🎟️

It’s the National Year of Reading, and House of Books and Friends are collaborating with literacy specialist Sarah Bagshaw-McCormick to bring you a reading group with a difference.

Hear a little about how you can encourage your students reading, meet your new favourite book and get great, diverse and up to date recommendations for students of every age.

On Tuesday 14th April we’ll be starting with recommendations around a theme of 'Fantasy'. We will have a selection of titles to discuss, covering picture books to young adult, for all stages of the curriculum. The event will begin at 10.30am, and last one hour.

Tickets are £3, and entitle you to a free drink on arrival.
