Connection Counts Campaign

House of Books & Friends is all about “Connection”. Everything we do from book clubs to board game evenings, from working with charities to reinvesting every penny we make is all designed to tackle loneliness and social isolation within our local community.

That is why this November we’re running Connection Counts again and launching a brand new Coffee & Connections Campaign (watch this space!).

Last year we asked you to share your moments of connection with us, and we were blown away by the amount of people who got involved.  Your submissions really made us think about how we connect with people in our every day lives and the challenges of making new connections in an increasingly busy world.

This November we would love to hear more of your moments of connection.  Maybe you have been on the receiving end; someone reaching out to you or perhaps you have been the one to send a message to check in with someone you haven’t heard from in a while.  We will share your moments of connection on our socials, hopefully inspiring other people to reach out and make a difference in someone’s day. You can share your story here.

Please let one of our lovely team know if you need assistance in writing your story, they’re all keen writers as well as readers.

Connections Count Campaign

This month we’re highlighting the importance of connection with our ‘Connections Count’ campaign. We’d love you to share with us your moments of Connection! You might have spoken to someone you wouldn’t have normally, sent a message to check in with someone you haven’t heard from in a while. Perhaps your connection involved a funny story, these moments often do, tell us what you did and why and how it made you feel! Or maybe you have been on the receiving end, someone may have reached out to you, invited you somewhere unexpectedly. We’d love you to share your story with us below.
