Our Pay It Forward book scheme is going to Little Green Sock, a Greater Manchester charity based in Trafford that strongly believe that all children should have the basics they need to thrive. We spoke to the CEO, Catherine, about why they got started and how folks can get involved!

How long have you been going?
We set up just 2 years ago and have supported over 1000 children with clothing, equipment, toys books and toiletries.
What has been the greatest reward since being with the charity?
Seeing how the local community has pulled together to donate their time and items in large quantities to help support local families. We’ve distributed over 1400 bundles and saved families over £160,000 in items for their families, ensuring children have the basics they need to thrive.
How can people get involved?
People can get involved in multiple ways!
-Following us on social media and sharing our posts – expanding our reach
-Donate items off our WishList of items in greater demand
-Set up a workplace collection of items we are in need of and deliver to us in Stretford
-Donate financially to support our ongoing work
-Volunteer us on a regular basis
-Volunteer with your workplace as part of a team building event
Any big things happening within your charity in the next month you’d like to shout about?
We’re going to be launching our corporate sponsorship package, where teams can get directly involved with our work. If any organisations are interested to find out about a partnership and how they can ensure disadvantaged children get the basics they need to thrive whilst also encouraging sustainability in our local community, please get in touch!
