Description

As part of our summer holiday events for children, House of Books & Friends are hosting a writing workshop on Monday, 28th August! Split into two parts, the workshop will take place from 11:00-14:30 in store. 

Children will learn about the creation of characters, how to show not tell, world-building, and how characters can interact with each other, with our bookseller Lucy. This is the perfect activity for voracious readers and budding writers!

There will be a break for lunch between 12:00-13:30. Lunch will not be provided, but we do sell sandwiches in our café, subject to availability. 

Suitable for children 9-14 years old. 1 ticket per child.  Adults accompanying children are welcome to sit in on the event or browse in the shop, but children must not be left alone unsupervised – adults must remain in the building.
