What better way to tell someone you’re thinking about them this Christmas than by sending them one of our brand new Christmas Eve boxes? The festive period is full of hustle and bustle; how many times have we declared that we’ve barely had a moment to stop and think in December? When we developed our Christmas Eve boxes we asked ourselves: “what would our customers most like to receive?” The first answer was ‘time’, but we struggled to find a supplier for that… So instead we chose to focus on encouraging our community to slow down, take a moment to themselves to unwind and consider how important connection is to us all.

We knew the perfect book to include would be the rather wonderful On Friendship by Andrew O’Hagan. This volume of personal reflections come straight from the heart and greatly resonated with our booksellers. It’s the perfect book to dip in and out of at this time of year, and then revisit time and again.

A special festive-green edition of our House of Books & Friends bookmark makes the perfect placeholder, and snacks from COCO and Serious Pig are a great way to treat yourself.

We’ve topped it all off with a pack of festive Pigeon Posted notelets. Take the time to write that letter to family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, or anyone who is in your thoughts and thanks at Christmas. Once written, fold them up origami-style, apply a stamp and pop them in the post.
